BLACK DIAMOND (Amoakoaa)

BLACK DIAMOND
(Amoakoaa)
Without moon
without stars
my night remains as bright

there is a valuable treasure
in my heart--black diamond
adorned in the garments
of luminaries

bright is her black
the radiant spell in her eyes
strikes my soul with sweet
whips of unblinking lightning
filling my head
with soothing glamour

white is her black
her teeth are like orange blossoms
enjoying the sun's song
in a silent noon--
like the goddess of purity's robe

without moon
without stars
my sleep sees no nightmares
as I walk in honeycomb cells
she's my sight

unbreakable black diamond
black pot that serves
sweet white wine
Amoakoaa-
pulchritude is black!
